Limitless Range Test Details

To test Limitless Range we used a modded controller in a controlled environment so every rep is nearly identical. We took 200 shots for every 5 ms throughout the green window for each badge level and without the badge. For reference, the green window is 60 ms wide, which makes that about 2400 shots at each badge level. In total we took over 30,000 shots. We tested each badge level at a 92 3PT rating.

We performed 3 tests:

  • Limitless Range at 27 to 29 ft for all badge levels and no badge.
  • Limitless Range at 30 ft and beyond for all badge levels and no badge.
  • Two attribute ratings with Legend Limitless Range: 92 3PT vs 99 3PT.
Limitless Range Test Results

Avg Make % for 27 to 29 ft:

  • Legend = 70%
  • HoF = 67%
  • Gold = 63%
  • Silver = 61%
  • Bronze = 58%
  • None = 42%

There are two significant jumps:

  • No badge to Bronze has a 16% difference. Simply equipping Bronze is extremely helpful when shooting from distance.
  • Gold to HoF has a 4% difference.

Avg Make % for 30 ft+:

  • Legend = 63%
  • HoF = 58%
  • Gold = 54%
  • Silver = 46%
  • Bronze = 40%
  • None = 20%

There's a visible drop in the make percentages compared to 27 to 29ft. However, these shots at 30ft were still makeable. It is not recommended to shoot from this range with Bronze and Silver levels since the average make percentages are below 45% throughout the green window.

When comparing Legend Limitless Range with a 92 3PT and a 99 3PT, we found that the 99 rating can significantly increase your make percentage even with the same badge level. We saw an average make percentage increase of around 6% throughout the green window. There was also an increased green window size of 5 ms.

Summary:

  • Bronze - solid foundation
  • Silver - great for limited attributes
  • Gold - better at longer distances
  • HoF - elite make % and green window
  • Legend - ultimate forgiveness from deep
