video-transcript:
What is good everyone and welcome to the NBA 2K Lab channel. In this video, we'll be taking an in-depth look at the Limitless Range badge. Things like the average make percentages for each badge level, the distance it activates from, and other helpful tips to help you get the most out of this badge. So, if you haven't already, be sure to subscribe to the channel for more badge tests like this. Let's get right into the video. First things first, let's talk about the distance where this badge activates. When shooting from 27 ft and beyond, this badge should activate every time. It seemed to have a similar effect from distances around 27 to 29 ft, which I marked as the sweet spot. But once you get past 30 feet, the make percentages were lowered and the green window shrunk. But we'll talk about those percentages in a minute. Now, to test Limitless Range, we used a modded controller in a controlled environment, so every rep is nearly identical. We took 200 shots for every 5 milliseconds throughout the green window for each badge level and without the badge. And for reference, the green window in this video is about 60 milliseconds wide, which makes that about 2400 shots at each badge level. and over 30,000 shots for this entire test. And at this point, if you don't mind dropping a like for the hard work that we do over here at NBA 2K Lab, it would be greatly appreciated. And if you haven't already seen our video on how shooting works in 2K26, definitely check that out cuz it'll help explain everything. Now, for the first chart, let's take a look at the most practical limitless range scenario, which would be shooting anywhere from 27 to 29 ft. Keep in mind that we tested each badge level at a 923 point rating. As you can see, we have a huge jump from no badge to bronze. And just having bronze can be extremely helpful when shooting from distance. The silver level looks to be solid with an average make percentage of about 61% which isn't too far off from gold at 63%. But one of the biggest jumps in badge levels is from gold to hall of fame with an average make percentage increase of about 4%. And then legends sees a total average make percentage of about 70% which is three better than the hall of fame level. Each of these levels kind of serve a purpose and we'll get into the recommendations at the end of the video. As I mentioned, we also tested this badge from 30 feet and beyond. And while the drop in make percentages was definitely visible, these shots were still very makeable. Hall of Fame and Legend show peak make percentages of around 100% and the gold level still works at this distance as well with an average make percentage of 54%. The bronze and silver levels provide a solid boost over no badge, but with average make percentages of 45% and below throughout the green window. It's not recommended to shoot from this range with these lower levels. Lastly, we tested two attribute ratings with legend limitless range, one being a 99 and the other being 92. As expected, we found that having a 99 rating can also significantly increase your make percentage even with the same badge level. So, while using a Max Plus one or Max Plus 2 yields good results, you can further improve your shooting by getting the badge level organically with a 993 point rating. And in this testing scenario, we saw an average make percentage increase of about 6% throughout the green window with an increased green window size of 5 milliseconds at that 99 point rating. Overall, the bronze level provides a must-have foundation if you want to shoot from deep. The silver and gold levels provide a lot more consistency at range. And then the hall of fame and legend levels should be reserved for players with multiple cap breakers or players who specialize in deep range shooting. And that is all we have for the limitless range badge test. I hope you guys found this video helpful and if you did, don't forget to drop a like. Thank you all for watching. It's been out later.
