NBA 2K26 Dribble Moves Breakdown

Video Transcript:
Dribbling is looking extremely valuable for NBA 2K26, but a lot of key controls have changed. So, in today's video, we're not wasting any time. We're getting straight into this tutorial with the hand cam. Just a reminder, though, that all animation and badge requirements are live on the 2K Lab site. So, make sure you do your homework. So, first, which is arguably the most important thing to know, is just how to burst with the ball. But 26 makes it easy this year. Simply do any right stick move and then hold turbo and run with the left stick. Something that also got a big improvement is the change of pace into the burst. While just walking up the court with no turbo, you can burst quickly to catch defenders offguard by holding turbo and running with the left stick as well. This is extremely valuable because if a defender reaches out of the play this year, you can just take advantage of it by bursting past him without being held back by a hitch animation. Next is the momentum cross. This is an essential move if you're looking to combo quickly this year. To do this, flick straight up on the right stick, then immediately hold turbo and run up diagonal. Next is the misdirection. And this one is a weird one to do, but if you learn it and build the finger muscle memory doing it, you'll separate yourself from players who can't do it. For this, it's like a combo moves, flicking left, right, or right, left quickly, but you don't hold turbo on the first flick, and you do hold turbo on the second flick. The first flick is what determines the animation. If you go down diagonal first, you'll get a behind the back misdirection. Horizontal is a tween misdirection and up diagonal is a crossover misdirection. The second flick, however, does not matter. Next is the behind the backs. These animations are so important due to how good they are this year and the aggressive or explosive behind the back controls are different. No more double flicking the right stick. Instead, you'll want to hold turbo and flick down diagonal first, then hold the left stick up diagonal towards the way you want to go. This is similar to the controls from older 2Ks. Next is the snatchbacks, specifically the moving snatchbacks. Because if you guys seen any of the Kevin Durant footage, you cannot only stop quickly, but also burst into a different direction. Now, the standing snatchbacks are the same. As simple as holding turbo and flicking directly down on the right stick. And it's the same when you're moving, but while you're moving, you want to continue to hold the left stick up. Hold turbo and flick down on the right stick. This will allow you to stop on a dime and burst in a different direction. or just simply set your feet and get into multiple other combinations as you see here. Next is the escape moves, specifically the combo moves inside of these packages because they were so good at community day. To turbo cross with these packages, it's still the same with holding turbo and flicking up diagonal with the right stick. This has been a popular move for years, but to do the combo moves, you have to hold turbo and then flick left, right, or right, left, depending on the animation you want. And these animations coming out of the Kyne SGA packages were looking OD. And finally, we have the walk back sides up. These are really good to create some distance between you and a defender or can also be used to simply reset yourself in an offensive possession. To do these, simply hold down on the left stick and flick up on the right stick and continue to hold down on the left stick if you want the animation to play out. So, that's what we have in store for you guys in today's video. Some key dribbling controls and inputs to know before picking up the game for yourself.
