What does Shifty Shooter Badge do in NBA 2K26?

video-transcript:
In NBA 2K26, just about everyone is shooting fades. And if you're shooting fades, it's likely you have a high level of shifty shooter to help convert those shots into makes. The badge description says that it improves a player's ability to successfully make off the dribble high difficulty jump shots. So that can be fades, hop shots, and even standstill shots directly after a dribble move. Now, to test Shifty Shooter, we used a modded controller to take 1,800 shots throughout the green window for each badge level, which makes a total sample size of 12,600 shots for this entire test. The offensive player had a 91 three-point rating and used Pro2 dribble pull-up to fade out of the corner for every rep. When looking at the chart, each level of shifty shooter provides a decent boost over the previous level. Bronze shows decent but modest results. At silver, we can see a 100% make rate at that 810 millisecond timing in the center of the green window, making it the first badge level to reach 100% in this scenario. Silver looks to be a great budget level for those not looking to invest too heavily into this badge. Gold Shifty Shooter provides a sizable boost over the silver level, and it's much more forgiving in terms of your jump shot timing. If you shoot a lot of fades and off the dribble shots, I would definitely recommend going for at least the gold level as it looks to be the sweet spot in terms of value and effectiveness. Moving up to Hall of Fame, there's another solid boost and it slightly tapers off as we get to the legend level. Looking at the average make percentage throughout the entire green window, we can see a fairly linear boost here. And since we tested each badge level at a 913 point rating, this chart essentially shows you the exact boost for using a max plus one or max plus2 from the gold level, which is still pretty substantial. Now, overall, bronze is fine, but not necessarily worth targeting, but more of a nice to have badge if possible. Silver, as I mentioned, looks to be a great budget level for those who are trying to have a more well-rounded build. At gold, we start to see big improvements. And if fading is one of your primary methods of scoring, you should at least target this level. Hall of Fame and legend levels still show great results and are worth getting if you like taking more aggressive shots, or if you're the primary scoring option on your team. Now, that is all we have for the Shifty Shooter badge test. Be sure to like the video if you found it helpful. And as always, thanks for watching. It's been Spill, and I'm out.
